Uma descoberta, para mim... sobre a origem da &lt;span style="color: rgb(102, 51, 51); font-weight: bold;"&gt;MOUSSE AU CHOCOLAT.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pois, ao que parece, a  receita original foi inventada pelo artista francês Henri  de Toulouse - Lautrec (1854-1901), excelente cozinheiro e gourmet.&lt;br /&gt;Após a sua morte, um amigo Maurice Joyant, juntou as suas receitas e compilou-as num livro de cozinha, editado no inicio do século XX.&lt;br /&gt;Este livro incluía uma receita com o título "Mayonnayse au Chocolat"&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);font-family:arial;" &gt;...&lt;/span&gt; Paris e Chocolate são os meus favoritos.&lt;br /&gt;Paris, calor de Agosto,  na relva das Tulleries, a saborear o bolo de chocolate negro do "Paul" junto ao Museu de Artes Decorativas... o descanso merecido depois da longa caminha desde o Arc du Triumphe, descendo os Champs Elysees até ao Arc du Carrocel. Consigo imaginar cada passo, cada dentada no delicioso bolo de chocolate que "desapareceu" como por magia na minha boca... (bem não todo, metade foi partilhado com a minha filha e surripado pelos pardais mais atentos do jardim).&lt;br /&gt;Paris é imenso, é lindo!  Desde que regressei, a minha literatura é francesa... o divertido Petit Nicolas, foi o primeiro, amavelmente emprestado pelos meus amiguitos de sempre Paula e Rui Lima, já temos um Clube de Leitura e Vídeo, partilha de viagens, cinema, literatura e "parisienses", doces, na companhia de um tinto "Beaujolais" ou de um Tée"Marriage".&lt;br /&gt;Desde Abril a preparar a viagem no Sud Express e TGV até à Cidade Luz, que iriamos fazer nas "férias grandes". Tenho obrigatoriamente de falar de um senhor sempre impecavelmente vestido, metódico e organizado, capaz de encontrar uma solução para os casos mais difíceis usando apenas as suas “pequenas células cinzentas”. Assim, é o detective belga Hercule Poirot, uma das mais fascinantes criações de Agatha Christie.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Em "The Chocolate Box", Poirot acompanha o Inspector Japp a Bruxelas, que vai ser premiado pelos serviços prestados ao país. Durante a viagem, Hercule conta ao amigo um caso passado vinte anos atrás, acerca da fascinante história de um político e de uma fatídica caixa de chocolates. Poirot era um jovem polícia, e a pedido de Virginie Mesnard vai investigar a morte de um político, Paul Deroulard. O tribunal já havia decidido que Deroulard morrera vítima de ataque cardíaco. Mas, Poirot acreditava que o veredicto estava errado e que ele tinha sido envenenado, provavelmente com chocolates oferecidos por um aristocrata, Xavier St. Alard...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"The Chocolate Box" é tambem um dos raros momentos em que podemos ver Poirot envolvido num subtil e encantador romance de amor com a belíssima Virginie Mesnard.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Não existe investigação no momento presente da acção, Poirot resolve o caso no passado e todos os factos são descritos em deliciosos 'flashbacks'. Ela mesma relata tanto as virtudes como os defeitos que se comentavam sobre o chocolate.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As oito cartas em que evoca o chocolate, testemunham que sofreu alternadamente a influência dos partidários e dos “difamadores” do chocolate. Leve de novo a mistura a cozinhar em lume brando e vá juntando a água e por fim o leite até obter a consistência a seu gosto.
